Lori Levine is an eternal optimist, an accidental entrepreneur, a Certified Public Accountant, a Breast Cancer Survivor, while being a mother of 2 terrific young men, Justin and Ben.

After her breast cancer treatment was complete, Lori's nutritionist told her that she had to throw away her processed protein bars filled with sugar and preservatives and find a healthier snack.

When she complained to her husband Scott about her lack of a healthy grab and go option, he made a peanut butter cacao protein ball using all plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free ingredients.

Lori began carrying them around as her new favorite snack (especially the peanut butter cacao ones!). Soon, friends and family were asking for bags of the protein balls. Lori took her husband's labor of love and turned it into a thriving startup business making a delicious tasting treat that is plant based and gluten, dairy and soy free.

Scott's Protein Balls now come in 10+ different flavors (two made with Peanut Butter, one made with Almond Butter and three nut-free flavors for those with allergies to nuts). Scott's Protein Balls can now be found in over 100+ locations in NY, CT and FL or purchased directly on the website.

Lori’s journey was personally impacted by some modern advances/research in treating and identifying breast cancer. One of the missions of Scott’s Protein Balls was to help fund research for breast cancer. We are proud to have now become a partner with Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). 1% of all sales are donated to BCRF to help support breast cancer research. #betheend

Scott’s Protein Balls is proud to be a Breast Cancer Research Foundation Thriver's Circle partner with 1% of our total sales going to support BCRF's mission. The Thriver's Circle is made up of small companies and other trailblazers throughout different industries who have a personal connection to breast cancer and are committed to funding lifesaving research.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation's mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research.

Breast cancer knows no age, gender or race. As the most common cancer in women worldwide, it remains a fact of life. Approximately 2.3 million women around the globe were diagnosed in 2021, and incidence rates are on the rise.

That’s because breast cancer has no boundaries. It is the leading cause of cancer death in the world’s poorest countries and the second leading cause of cancer death in American women. The developing world is experiencing higher mortality rates than ever before due to a lack of screening and access to treatment, and we are seeing disparities right here at home as social and economic factors create barriers to proper diagnosis and care.

We want to put an end to breast cancer. Our goal: No more fear. No more hospital visits. No more side effects or needless suffering. No more loved ones lost to breast cancer.

The only way to achieve this goal is through research. Research is revolutionizing our understanding of cancer. Research is leading us to the core of this insidious disease. Research is transforming lives every day as women and men get the help they need.

We believe research—and research alone—has the power to bring an end to cancer. We know what needs to be done, and we have nearly 250 researchers urgently working on solutions to one of the world’s greatest problems.

Until the number of deaths from breast cancer is zero, we will not stop. Join us, and help fuel the research of tomorrow needed to save lives today. Everyone can be part of the solution. We are all part of the cure.

The end of cancer begins with you.
